Children’s Ministry
We offer programing for children age birth through 11 years old during our 10 am Worship Service and as a part of our Wonderful Wednesdays.
On Sunday mornings, the children join in the beginning of the worship service and are included in a Children’s Message before leaving the sanctuary for Godly Play. Godly Play is a Montessori-based spiritual curriculum created by theologian, author, and educator, The Rev. Dr. Jerome Berryman. Take a look here if you’d like to learn more about Godly Play.
Wednesday evenings, we gather at 5:30 for a meal followed by enrichment offerings for all ages. On Wednesdays the Children’s Ministry uses Deep Blue, a traditional, liturgical curriculum.
For those children that prefer to stay with their grown-ups during the church service, we offer Kidsword packets with a scripture, activity, and pictures to color. Weather permitting, during the summer, we take the children outside to play on the playground during the 10 o’clock church service.
We will offer Vacation Bible School the first or second week in August 2025, in the evening, Monday through Thursday from 5 to 8 pm.
Hello there, and thank you for your interest in Children’s Ministry at St. Paul’s!
My name is Jennifer Ruggles, and I am the Children’s Ministry Coordinator. Here is a little bit about me… I grew up attending Sunday School at St. Paul’s, and trained in College to be a music teacher. I realized I wanted to nurture younger children during this time, where I completed a practicum in a Lutheran preschool and at the Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch. I have been fortunate to grow and learn through various ministry experiences, and I love encouraging young kids in God’s word.
